Claudine’s August Update!

Prayer Chain

All the girls were present in our time of prayer. We took 30 minutes praying for the GWP vision and for its future all over the world. We prayed especially for the project that will provide local income so that we can function normally and touch more girls in our country.

Self Defense

Last month we had our four sessions of self defense with 9 leaders who were regular; From 3-4 PM, it was time of exercise with one movement of self defense. Esther had to practice at home with the videos before she come to teach to others.

All the beneficiaries testified that self defense is changing them a lot. It’s helping them to realize that they are strong, they can and they have the right to defend themselves.

Sustainability Projects

We have an issue to have space for our activities when it is school time at UJN [where we normally meet]. We have to meet outside and when it’s raining it’s a real problem.

We are praying God to bless us with our gym project [our idea for a sustainability project] because there it will be easy to have our activities any time we want [and we will be able to earn an income by providing a service to others].

Empowering Girls

The last month we continued with the part of the curriculum which talks about the power of the Holy Spirit. He is the one who strengthens us; with Him we are able to do great things that we couldn’t do ourselves. After our sessions, we took time to invite the Holy Spirit in us and let Him act in our lives.

We went to Esther’s place last month; We had time to pray for her and her family. We spent very good moment there between sisters, it is also time to rejoice with the team.

Planned Activities For The Following Month

If the incubator program is ready, start the process of the gym project [to see if it will be a successful business for us to start making money].
Organize our sessions of self defense and the curriculum
Visit one of us at home, love and communion between members grow.
Organize a prayer time together for the requests of the group and for the members. Friendship and faith to God grow and our requests are granted [if it is God’s will for us at the time].

Testimony

Esther MUCHIKI is one of the girls in our group here in D R Congo, she is very devoted in to our activities. She teaches self defense to the team since Patricia went for her studies. She is 17 years old in 6th form in high school.

She testified that since she is in the GWP, the way she used to consider herself changed a lot; even in the classroom, she is doing an amazing work and good result. She knows that she is capable; she is smart, the Holy Spirit provide with intelligence to men as he does to women. The perception of herself is performing every day. She has now big dreams to change the world with her capacities. She used to let people take decision on her life but now she can do it because she discovered that she is able to take good decision because the Holy Spirit is in her.

We bless God for bringing Kelly here in our country where girls really needed the GWP vision to change their paradigm for his glory.
