APRIL: Erasto’s New Men & Boy’s Groups!

Prayers

We are so excited for Erasto to start his weekly men’s groups through soccer near the safe house. Twice a month he will meet with the men, and twice a month he will meet with boys. The teams will play each other and the winning team will get a chicken from Neema and Erasto’s farm to share for dinner!

Father GOD in Heaven, we thank you Lord. Thank you for taking us through April 1 to April 30. Thank you Lord that you filled us with your Grace, Happiness, unexpected blessings and supernatural favor. Lord we thank you for all that you do and all that you about to do. Thank you Lord for the camp we had this April, it was so wonderful and powerful. Also we thank you for everything that you provide to us. We thank you Lord for the safe trip for our visitors back to USA. Help us to enter in to May with an open heart and mind. Help us to do the best on this month, to us our time wisely and to accomplish all that we set out to do. Knowing that you can do all things.(Philippians 4:6-7).

Spiritual Self Defense

We thank GOD for this April His world was so powerful, especially during Easter, we were on part 11, about the Cross, also going through Musa’s (Moses) story and we were wondering how God is in work, He brought us Daniel (from the Canopy Church team) and finalize our learning, everyone here was wondering how it was connected by GOD, because no one tells him (Daniel) that we were (already) on that story. I thank God because, even the children who did not understand the interpretation of the text, through the servant of God (Daniel), they understood, and it has been a testimony to them. We thank God for the laminated paper songs Swahili and English one.

Also God gave us Spiritual leader among our girls, who is AGNESS. She has a very naturally big heart and love for the Lord, I (Kelly) gave her my Bible and asked her if she would honor us by leading the girls in their Spiritual Self Defense. She was overjoyed!

Physical Self Defense

On our most recent trip to visit the girls, we noticed that Anna had an innate talent for learning self defense, and she took it very seriously. She was able to effectively teach the girls that were having trouble, so we promoted her to Self Defense Leader. We notice a huge change in this last month since her promotion and couldn’t be more proud of her!

We thanks God that we have a good physical self-defense leader among from our older girls who is ANNA. This month they were practiced on all common mistakes that we had for a very long time, so they now like new learner in most of the moves. We believe that more practice will make them more perfect.

Among our girls, Shamsa and Mwanamisi, were selected to participate in the UMITASHUMTA (Inter-primary School Athletic Games in Tanzania) Shamsa and Mwanamisi competed and moved on from the inter-school level, then inter-village level, then inter-Word level and now they are in inter-district level. They now have the chance to compete and go to Regional level. Shamsa is on football game and Mwanamisi on Running game. Also we are blessed with another girl (for our safe house) Anna’s sister, she is in college (we take her in while she is on break from college so that her father does not sell her into marriage).

Economic Self Defense

Here in Tanzania Team, We have different projects that we conduct and very helpful in our life. We are believing on sustainable projects to run our home and the community as well.

This TZ safe house has goats, cows, chickens and pigs that provide meat, eggs and milk for the girls!

Crops

This TZ safe house has a large field where they grow beans and corn, as well as banana trees, a huge mango tree and lots of fruits and vegetables in the garden next to the house. This takes a huge burden off of the costs of their monthly food budget!

All our farms and animals are doing great, we have growing maize now in our farms again and they are healthy

We thank God for Carlie for teaching us how to make Butter from our milk and teach us how butter is better than other oils. So now we can start making our own butter.

Moto Taxis

Our TZ team has 3 moto taxis!

The passive income received by two of the moto taxis pays for ALL of her girls to go to school for the entire year, including uniforms, books and supplies!! Praise God!

The 3rd moto taxi pays for ALL of her girls to have health insurance for the entire year!

Guard Dog

We have a new guard dog named Sal! We bought him from the police station and when he gets a little older he will receive trainings from them so that he can be an extra layer of protection for the girls! Praise God!
