Prayer Chain
As ladies, we have decided to make God our priority as he says in the Bible that he loves us and loves to care for us. Additionally, we have accepted to serve him as our Lord and Savior. During our daily meetings, we need to hear more about Jesus’ promises and about the kingdom of God. Annette reminds us that we are fully accepted by God by his love for us.
The following are the specific prayer requests from Annette:
-
May God give us the maturity to take care of our responsibilities in our families and GWP, and be a blessing to other girls by being a light to them and showing them the way to Jesus Christ our Savior.
-
May we discover our identity and know who we are.
-
Prayers for our girls and their businesses.
-
For God’s blessings and protection over our leaders and sponsors.
Spiritual Self Defense
This month we are discussing lesson 12 which tells of Jesus’ resurrection. His death was the sacrifice that paid for our sins so that we may be saved, and his resurrection was the proclamation that death no longer has victory over us!
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” – 1 Peter 1:3
Physical Self Defense
“We continue with our exercises of self-defense and fitness for the good of our bodies. It improves our muscles to be healthier and stronger, and it helps us to be more confident with ourselves.” – Annette
Intellectual Self Defense
This month we have an update about Lea Kuba and Amina Chandi. They both resumed classes and Amina finally started playing soccer again! Annette says “we thank God that He hears our prayers”! Pictured is an updated photo of Lea doing her school work and Amina with his soccer team.
Economic Self Defense
The girls’ small businesses are continuing to help them meet the needs of their families and their own personal needs. Additionally, they are continually helping our GWP monthly contributions that will be given to other girls to help them start businesses of their own. Annette says “we always believe that we can do it better if we work together in love.”
