Prayer Chain
From Monday to Sunday, there are at least three girls on the program praying for the GWP around the world; for each one of us and for the future of our amazing vision. We praise God for the success of Lea at school and for all of the girls in the high school. All of them succeeded at the first quarter. We also praise God for His goodness- we were able to finish the year without any problems. He protected all the GWP family around the world, there were no deaths, no significant sicknesses, in DRC and in Cambodia. He protected us while there was insecurity. We also praise Him for the great future He has for each one of us through this vision.

Self Defense
We organized two sessions of self-defense because of the holidays; the last two weeks of December we didn’t meet. We finished the basic exercises of self-defense with the last group. However, they still need to do more practices. We encouraged them to go in their communities to train others as they have been trained. 30 girls were sensitized to join the GWP in January. Twenty-five of them came to celebrate the end of the year with us and started the training.

Empowering Girls!
To finish the curriculum, we had a long session in the middle of December; 7 girls received Christ in their lives through our teachings. Those who didn’t finish the curriculum with us are going to join the new group to make sure they complete the program. To end the year, we had special moments with all the girls trained during the year. Patricia, one of the leaders (who now lives in Uganda) was with us. We had time to pray, share the word of God, dance, play, eat and reinforce our relationship as a family. We praise God for the funding we received from our generous supporters to cover this end of the year celebration. It was amazing to see how girls decided to contribute with one dollar for the success of our activity. One of them named Caroline gave one box of juice she produces because she has a business of selling natural juice. She is the one who accepted to help us as a volunteer in the gym business (our sustainability project that is now in the incubation phase).

Sustainability Projects
With the help of our generous supporters, we were able to pay the first cost of the incubator. We started the market analysis. The coach proposed to us to choose a very simple and good name for the business because it is so important. There is a sheet with several questions he gave to us in which we have to answer. It is going to allow him to understand the project deeply and to know how to guide us. We had four meetings to discuss and answer the questions. Lucien is doing the field to have peoples opinions about the project so that we can know if we will have future customers. But it is clear that D R Congo, Goma in particular, needs a solution for health. People don’t have the culture of preventing sicknesses. They wait to be seriously sick to see the doctor, which is not normal. And sometimes, there is not a specialist and people die when they don’t have to. Our vision is to contribute to solve that problem. It is very big but our God is also very great to strengthen us and make it happen.
