Prayer Chain
All the day of the week there are three people on the program to pray for the GWP and for the members around the world. This month we focused on those especially for epidemic, which make people unhappy, group growth, and our project, we believe that God is on control; this situation is there for his glory. We are also praying for the movement of certain group member, Praise God for he brought Annette and Gael who are going to help to advance the work. In the next class, other girls are going to join the to team in the prayer chain.
Self Defense
In February, we started again a new class with 32 girls because of news comers. We began with self-defense with less than 18 years old and more than 18 years old because we have 2 groups that that meets on Wednesday and that of Sunday afternoon in total, we are 42 now. We had two sessions learning the two first lessons of the curriculum. Because some girls in the new group are students in high school, and they choose to come on Wednesday the someday with generation hope; Praise God, because now we have Gael who is going to help with self-defense; and Annette will be helping to train and with administration tasks. It’s is amazing to see how God is making our team big with different abilities. Our prayer is that God bring our vision to another level.
Sustainability Projects
(We have decided to wait on) the Gym Project for God’s timing, (and did not feel that now was the right time). We have other projects (that we are dreaming about) like making a restaurant for the group and the moto bike business (but we are trying to see what will be a wise choice). All of this in order to (give the girls) space to deploy their assets and allow the group to have an income that can meet the group’s needs in the future.
Also, our newest GWP co-leader, Anette, was given $100 to grow her banana chip business. She supports 9 people in her family on $2-3 a day. She is so smart and motivated and determined. We know that she will go so far!
