Prayer Chain

On 24th of October, we spent 30 minutes praying for the vision, our needs and for each other. It was so good for these kids to know that they can trust God and pray for their needs.

Self Defense

Last month we had 3 sessions with the new class. We missed one session because of a seminar in the church. The girls are learning weekly.

The transportation for girls stills a problem we are praying for. We believe that God will provide.

Empowering Girls!

At the same time we had time together to learn the Word of God in the curriculum. We talked about the 4th and 5th parts which talk about how ADAM and EVE fell. What touched most of the group is to see how God, Creator of everything, with all the power, He decided to give us the choice. He could make us without any will, just like robots doing whatever He wants, but He respects human beings.

Sustainability Projects

With your support, we were able to pay the translator of the bylaws so that the lawyer can work on it regarding making us an official Congolese non profit. The lawyer is working on the bylaws, he promises that it may be done in November. We don’t know yet how much the documents will cost because we are trying to have reduction on the normal price which is $2300.

Testimony

For these girls, the moments we spend learning self defense are also time they enjoy; I can say that they heal from trauma and stress through self defense. It’s always a pleasure to spend time together. One of them, named MUGENIMANA testified last time that in our group she feels safe and she finds opportunity to laugh more than she does at home.

Planned Activities For Next Month

-Finish the bylaws and registrate it legally

– Continue with the training in self defense and the curriculum

-Do a home visit for one of our girls

-Organize a prayer time together for the requests of the group and for the members.
