At the same time we had time together to learn the word of God in the curriculum. It was amazing to see how they were touched to understand that God created each one of us unique;  He created us in His image and He has a plan for each one of us. In His, eyes we are so important.

We organized monthly visits to one of our member’s homes and this month all the team was at Claudine’s place; We enjoyed spending time together, praying, dancing and having fun.

This new group of newcomers are composed of girls between 6 YO and 17. It’s amazing to see how they are glad to learn self defense. Most of them are from poor families here in Goma where the culture doesn’t give any value to girls. They are raised just to be mothers and take care of men. They have to support any abuse and cannot say anything. Especially in African families, we found uncles, cousins and friends come just to live and they usually abuse small girls in the house; the parents sometimes know but they ask to the small girl to not tell to someone because it is a shame for the whole family. But with the self defense, our girls are going to be able to defend themselves and to cry, make noise looking for help.

With the curriculum, they are building their faith in God; Even if them are poor, they know that they have been created on God’s image, He knows each one of them because He is their creator; They are beautiful and their life is in his hands.

-Finish the bylaws and register it legally.

– Continue with the training in self defense and the curriculum.

-Visit one of us at home. Love and communion between members grow.

-Organize a prayer time together for the requests of the group and for the members. Friendship and faith in God grow and our requests are granted.
