Neema’s Prayer: Our Heavenly Father, we thank you for our safe home, The Almighty God, we thank you for the protect our home against all kinds of enemies. We pray that, to continue to provide for us our daily needs and to give us strength against any evil.
Thank you LORD for the rain, we ask that, give us the rain of the amount, which will not bring destruction, like floods or destruction of our crops.
Sandy’s prayer:
“But you, Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high.” Psalm 3:3. And because You, o Lord have been our shield when we fell down, our faith have grown to you and our praise for you will never cease. For the Glory is yours Lord, for your love endures forever Amen.
Spiritual Self Defense
Neema’s Kilimanjaro Team: This month our girls continued with the seventh part of our Curriculum. “The Result” It is the continuation of the sixth part, so it makes them to understand very well. For it has been very difficult for them to understand or believe, how God has seen and chosen them from among the most troubles but has seen them and bring them here in a safe house. Was full of blessings, we talked and learn. Psalms 139:15-16. God is everything in our life, He always show us the way in our life, He want us to live free life in His hand.
Sandy’s Maasai Team: You are my hiding place, You will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance, Psalm 32:7. The goodness of God in everything about us, that whatever He blesses us with He is sure to help us protect it.
We bless the Lord for the 64 women who attended the women seminar and the 50 street boys whom we fellowshipped together. Hope is such a word that each one of us need and that is what we shared this month, hope for better days and that with God all things are possible.
Dear Father we bring all of our girls, women we serves and all these street boys we reach out to, we bring the all to You for your healing of their broken hearted. Lord we ask for your grace over all of us as staff, that you may continue to empower us and strengthen our bond and wisdom. We pray for the peace of the world, for our sisters and brothers who are going through hardship that they too may find rest in You. We pray for the good news of the Gospel to reach to each part of the globe.
Glory to Your name Father God for all your goodness.
Physical Self Defense
Course 1-5
Neema’s Kilimanjaro Team: Our girls were very sad, after not doing well at level five so when I gave them their results they promised to strive and do better. So we repeated level five seriously. This month we did not do any of other movies rather than that of level five. We hope and believing that it will be better than that of last month.
Sandy’s Maasai Team: This month has been fun sharing with women about their worth and how to recognize and deal with verbal self-defense. One of the women commented that “mothers then should watch out the words they tells their children so that they don’t grow getting used to the abusive words and think these are normal” which was a great comment as the bible tells us not to do what we wish not others to do unto us.
That we have to believe in ourselves and say kind words on and about each other including ourselves and our families. As much as we pray and ask God to protect us, we too must practice protecting each other and what a blessing God to have blessed us with neighbors and friends and families to grow with in Christ.
Intellectual Self Defense
Neema’s Kilimanjaro Team: This month our girls were very happy to be together at home especially in Easter holiday. I was very happy see them all together encouraging each other. Also we had a very great time having fun together, swimming, playing, eating and drinking. They had mid term test before they had their Easter break and they did the exams very well. At the moment we have some girls who will sit for National Exams at primary school- we have Fatuma Yahaya, she will sit for class four National exam. Also we have Agness and Anna they are in Secondary school so they will sit for Form two National exams. So when you are in prayers please pray for them.
Sandy’s Maasai Team: Blessed be the Lord who gives us dreams and visions even helps us to reach there. Education is one of the most amazing tools and gift God is using to bring light to many and April have been such a blessing as the girls got back for their short Easter break and went back to school. All the girls are doing good in school. God is blessing and helping our girls try harder in school.

Our Tanzania safe house has a large field where they grow beans and corn, as well as banana trees, a huge mango tree and lots of fruits and vegetables in the garden next to the house. This takes a huge burden off of the costs of their monthly food budget!
