Physical Self Defense
We thank God that, even though this was a very busy month, we were able to attend the Youth Camp here in Marangu. We didn’t have time to teach Self Defense, but we had an opportunity to teach the girls about Early marriage, Abortion (effects), and female genital mutilation (FGM). The girls were very happy with the lessons and cooperated very well as they asked questions and gave their opinions.
Intellectual Self Defense
As we reported last month, we are still waiting for Gentleness’s National exam results, so she can go back to school to continue with form three class. Thank you so much for all who are donating for her so that she can go back to school.
Economic Self Defense
“Thanks to your generous donations, we are able to start marking out the parameters of the safe house for the girls we have rescued and will continue to rescue as the Lord allows us. We will begin to lay the foundation in January, God willing!” -Kelly Kelly, CEO, GWP
We still have our pigs, and we thank God that we were able to sell more piglets this month. We have 2 motorbikes, but for now one motorbike is at home because of a problem that happened with the girl who was riding, as she had an accident and ran away. We thank God that we were able to take the bike from the police and the girl is doing very well now.
Elizabeth is continuing with her Airtime business and she is doing very well now.
Celebration
We give thanks and honor to God, for giving us happiness, Joy and Peace during this season of Christmas and New Year. We really enjoyed having fun with the girls, eating and drinking together and dancing. Thanks a lot to all who are making this possible to us.
