Prayers
Blessed be our heavenly Father for always being there, the truth and the light that shines forever. That very light that has been our guide and help, Ooh how our hearts long for His presences and how He lavishes us with His loving kindness. There is no joy and peace that surpasses being in His embrace under His protective hand. We have so many reasons to praise Him, to glorify Him and to just talk and remind ourselves such a love and a wonderful Father, Friend He is to us.
Spiritual Self Defense
What a blessing to continue part two of “My Story – Creation” part with the girls. It is still amazes us how God, the ultimate Creator sat down in heaven, on His glorious throne and thought of me in His mind. Even so mind blowing to our Muslim girls and all our girls enjoyed so much re-hearing this affirmative story of how valued they have always been since creation.
“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well….. Psalm 139:13-18
We are more and more reminded that whatever we went through should never define us, in fact nothing should ever because our true identity is from God, our Creator and we should never forget that.
Physical Self Defense
We had to re-practice course 1 and 2 because we went out for women’s seminars and mobile clinics in Maasai villages. Practicing again these courses have been fun and encouraging seeing how well the girls loved learning again these skills.
Intellectual Self Defense
We praise the Lord for His love and so much courage to get us to the end of the terms. Our girls are finally home for the holiday of a whole month and two weeks, it has been such a long term. It has been prolonged because of the census that will happen in August. We thank the Lord for their efforts at school, their grades are improving. Upendo had her final exam in college and that mean we have a new Diploma in Forest in the house. Praise the Lord!!
Our Chief was invited as a speaker to the “9th International Indigenous Pre-conference on HIV & AIDS” (IIPCHA 2022) done virtually at the Montreal. It was epic discussing how indigenous law should also be given voice within the global platform and how the oppressive norms and culture should be addressed by the global society through establishing policies and laws and allocating funds for these purses.

Economic Self Defense
We bless the Lord for His provisions, our crops and livestock are doing well. We bless the Lord for our two new motorbikes; these will help us a lot. And how wonderful one of our pigs pregnant and that mean we are expecting little piglets.
Safe House
Our very first GWP safe house sits on 2 acres presently. We own the land and safe house outright!
Livestock
Our Tanzania safe house has goats, cows, chickens and pigs that provide meat, eggs and milk for the girls!
Crops
Our Tanzania safe house has a large field where they grow beans and corn, as well as banana trees, a huge mango tree and lots of fruits and vegetables in the garden next to the house. This takes a huge burden off of the costs of their monthly food budget!
Moto Taxis
Now Neema’s team has 3 moto taxis!
The passive income received by two of the moto taxis pays for ALL of her girls to go to school for the entire year, including uniforms, books and supplies!! Praise God!
The 3rd moto taxi pays for ALL of her girls to have health insurance for the entire year!
Outreach
While the schools closing is such a great thing for many, yet a great challenge to these whose culture still holds against education. This month it was our focus to encourage girls and enlighten them about such cultural norms that awaits for them at home. Praying with them and speaking of words of affirmation have been a step toward knowing their identity in Christ Jesus our Lord. Please keep girls in prayers, especially through this long holiday.
