Spiritual Self Defense
Neema says that everyone is still healthy – thank God! They continually pray for their mentors, donors, everyone working with G.W.P., coronavirus, all the sustainability projects, the girls in school, and all the girls who still need our support. She says, “we thank God that he opens his hands upon us and answers our prayers very quickly”.
Physical Self Defense
In spite of COVID 19 going on here, the girls and women in Tanzania are still able to continue with physical self-defense training at home. Neema says that all of June “the girls participated very well. In self-defense also we started teaching them a song of their bodies like breast, wrist, e.t.c.”.
Intellectual Self Defense
The girls have finally been able to go back to school! Neema tells us that they are praying for their upcoming National Examinations to go well. Additionally, there are two new Maasai girls, Sophia and Lightness, who want to go to college and vocational training. Neema tells us that Sophia and Lightness are now apart of G.W.P because “they are from very poor families and their parents want to marry them” in order to receive their dowries. We are so happy that Sophia and Lightness are now connected with us so that we can help them become independent and strong women.
Economic Self Defense
Neema tells us that they still have pigs and chickens. All the pigs are pregnant now and the chicks have begun hatching as well. She says that “after a few months we will have a lot of eggs and chickens here at home”.
Community Outreach
We thank God that we are able to continue going out and helping people in our community. Neema tells us that they help “by giving them masks and educating them on COVID 19.”
