Prayers
Dear God, we thank you for our safe house. We pray that you would come and protect our home against the attack of the enemies. We pray against any evil that tries to enter our home, and strength to overcome temptation. We pray we will leave no opportunity for the devil to enter, instead fill this house with your presence Lord and that our family would instead grow in you, in Jesus’ name.
Lord, may You fulfill many girls’ longing for wisdom and a better life. Bless them with a quality education, school supplies, and a family that supports their scholastic goals. As ‘‘blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding, for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold’’ (Proverbs 3:13–14).
Jehovah Jireh, God who Provides! We thank You for the rain showers that we experienced this month. Thank You for hearing the prayers of Your people and sending the rain to refresh and replenish the earth You created. We thank You for being the compassionate and merciful God who cares for Your people.
OUR PRAYERS FOR UKRAINE AND RUSSIA
God of all peoples and nations, who created all things alive and breathing, united and whole, show us the way of peace that is Your overwhelming presence. We hold before you the peoples of Ukraine and Russia, every child and every adult. We cry out to you for peace; Protect those who desire and deserve to live in security and safety, comfort those who fear for their lives and the lives of their loved ones change the hearts of those set on violence and aggression and fill leaders with the wisdom that leads to peace to make us whole. Amen
Spiritual Self Defense
This month was full of blessings, we talked and learn in scriptures that love is beautiful and well defined for us in that God is love, and Jesus demonstrated this perfectly to us all. The New Testament writers, like Paul in Corinthians, put further, down-to-earth flesh on the subject.
We finalized, love is not soft. It will always seek to build up the other, but that does not mean turning a blind eye to sin or not calling out evil in another person. “Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres” (1 Corinthians 13:6-7).
If God loved Jesus Christ as his Son, why did he allow Jesus to face death?
Because He wanted to show His love for mankind so that they might believe and inherit eternal life.
Testimony from Shamsa, ‘‘I was born in a Muslim family, actually a strong Muslim family. I remember in my childhood, my father took me to Madrasa at the other side of the street where we used to live, and introduce me to Ustadh, the leader at the Madrasa. So I learned how to pray and how to fast, every step. But when I faced danger of my father got blindness and mother HIV, miraculously and with the grace of God I Joined the safe house, in there I learned who is God and the love of God that was showed by my fellow girls with Christian morals whereby eventually I decided to accept salvation and Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.’’
Physical Self Defense
It is our joy this month that we have been able to continue learning how to protect ourselves physically from any danger, the girls participated and worked hard in the exercises. At first it was hard to understand but now we understand and we are progressing well. In addition to learning technical standup we have also given the girls a small whistle as they have been going to school very early in the morning at 5am, so if they encounter any danger it is easy for them to ask for help.
Testimony from Agness, ‘‘Mom, we are thankful for the defensive training and also for the whistles you gave us, they now are helping so much because in the beginning we feared when we felt at danger and usually we started running but now we have the ability to call for help even to those who are far away. ’’
Intellectual Self Defense
This month our girls learned countermeasures that will enable them pursue their educational goals, by building them up to believe in themselves in achieving their goals.
Efrasia, ‘‘is in form four, she is waiting to do mock exams and later national exams so we keep praying for her.’’
Upendo, ‘‘is still in Mbeya Region where she is doing field now, she is well and healthy we are waiting for her to come for Easter holiday.’’
Sia, ‘‘she is currently doing well despite the challenge she grew up with not being able to calm down and concentrate in class, now she can write, read and listen to the teacher carefully.”
Agnes, 15, secondary, she was just rescued & entered into school
Shamsa, 10, primary, she was already in school when we rescued her, so she will continue with her studies and we will give her whatever she needs.

Economic Self Defense
We bless God for all that He blessed us with. We are grateful we were able to discuss financial sustainability of the safe house and we are trusting God for His provision.
Livestock & Crops
Here in Tanzania we are blessed to have different breeds of livestock, such as pigs, cattle, chickens and goats. in fact God continues to fight for us and protect our livestock and children get milk, eggs etc.
Crops
We are also blessed to have farms where we have been growing girls’ food for use in the whole year. So far, in March we have just started farming and due to the need to be bigger than last year, we have also had to rent another farm to supplement our food supply for our girls.
