MARCH 2024: Trying Not To Lose Hope

Prayer Chain

Lord, as we are trying to move on we wanna thank you because we are still alive and we can praise your name . Thank you for Sister Kelly , that Woman has such a great heart please keep blessing her with unexpected great blessings. Lord in this moment we can only ask you to protect us , protect our members and our safe house, our children and let them being happy cause they are innocent. I glorify you and I pray in Jesus’s name .amen !

(There was talk about the gangs shutting off the food supply to other towns so we proactively sent money over to help our team members to have a stock pile in case of an emergency).

We already have distributions for food for the members. They were so happy because you know things are getting more expensive. Sometimes they cannot afford food so when we give them some it’s really a blessing for them . Even when it’s not too much but it help them both men and women groups .

Kids ministry
As usual, it’s a pleasure for us to go give food to those children who are facing hunger everyday, unfortunately we cannot make more for now but we are praising God for the two times a month and we know that sure he will provide for more.

This month we had one of our children who was sick , vomiting so a nurse help us and give us prescription for medicines and now by the grace of God he is okay .

Men’s Team: This month in the time we met, we where focusing on worshiping and praying God for all that’s going on. It help us spiritually to not lose hope.

Women’s Team: This month we had the worship contest ” Adora-Coeur” which means “worship with your heart ” so we meet generally every Sunday and the contest was on the same day so we meet like 30 min before it to talk a little bit about the country’s situation and then they stay to help with the contest and at the same time enjoying every worship songs . They said for them it wasn’t a contest but night of worship, they could forget for a moment what stressful situation we are living and really be in the presence of the Lord . Everyday is a blessing.

Physical Self Defense

(We rented a large house and converting it to a safe house for our leaders and many of the street kids they minister to.)

For the safe house, it’s a huge blessings for the kids. I am looking at them feeling so happy, singing all the time. I praise God for providing the place for them. Thanks to GWP you are such a blessing for these kids!!!

Women’s group: We did not have the chance to practice this month. But we hope that next month will be less stressful for us and we will meet without any problems.

Men’s group: The men have trouble doing lesson 5. They are not comfortable with the way the move is. I don’t know how we can resolve this problem.

Intellectual Self Defense

School in Jacmel open their doors at the same time they stay vigilant, if the people announce that we will have protest they do not open just to protect the students.
