Spiritual Self Defense
For this month, we had with curriculum “part 15” LIBERATION passage discusses the concept of liberation in the context of Christian faith. It begins with a reference to 1 John 4:15, which acknowledges Jesus Christ as the savior the world, sent by God the Father. This liberation is presented as God’s desire of his children to return to his kingdom, not because they deserve it, but because of his strength and his wrath against the enemy.
God seeks a close relationship with believers, desiring their liberation from sin and the power of darkness. The passage emphasizes that true freedom comes from accepting God’s love and grace, not through personal merit or ability to avoid sin. It reminds readers that Jesus sacrifice allows them to live in freedom from sin control.
Aggie, Spiritual Self Defense Leader
Fatuma: what does it mean to be free from sin? Rehema answered that it means we are no longer tempted, or it mean something deeper like no longer being controlled by sin.
Eunice: I learned that freedom from sin is granted through grace, not by our own ability to avoid sin, underscoring reliance on God rather than self-reliance.
Men’s Ministry
In November, the men’s ministry is focusing on empowering boys through mentorship and spiritual guidance. Led by Erasto and Rashan, the program offers structured activities and discussions that instill values of leadership, responsibility and faith. These sessions aim to equip the boys with life skills and a strong character rooted in biblical principles, fostering a sense of brotherhood and preparing them to navigate life’s challenges with confidence and integrity.
Physical Self Defense
Anna, Physical Self Defense Leader
“We’re proud of the growth we’ve witnessed this November in our physical self-defense training led by Anna. Our older girls have overcome persistent mistakes and with Anna’s guidance, gained renewed confidence and skill. They are now better equipped to handle challenges, showing remarkable progress in their journey towards physical readiness.”
Intellectual Self Defense
Intellectual self-defense equips girls with essential skills to navigate life confidently and safely. By teaching critical thinking, media awareness and knowledge of their rights, girls lean to question harmful messages and stand up for themselves. Building confidence, emotional skills and understanding healthy boundaries helps them manage relationships and make smart decisions. Digital safety is also important, ensuring they know how to protect their privacy online. Altogether, these tools empower girls to face challenges, make positive choices and create a brighter future.
