Prayer Chain
“What will we give you, Lord? Our hearts are filled with gratitude, gratitude because we have seen you, you have shown us so much of your nature, but we know that you do it because you are God our God, father, friend the one to whom we pray is he who answers, when we look for him, he is found.
Day by day we see how you protect us in this area that is uncertain to live, moreover we live, in addition we experience your greatness and I, as a leader, bless you for intelligence, wisdom, for I was born to serve you, oh God, I thank you thanks for being the GOD our GOD, it a great feeling to realize and know you love us.”
“We bless the Lord for the love he has shown for us and we thank God for the protection throughout the year 2024, we continue with our usual activities in the next month and look for innovations for the advancement of GWP CONGO to start well the next year!”- Annette, GWP Congo Chief
Outreach: Refugee Camp
On the 27th and 28th we participated in a capacity-building training on child protection according to the norms and standards on the care of vulnerable children, organized by the provincial division of social affairs.
For the month of November, we did several activities and this allowed us to achieve a positive result.
We also did the school follow-up of our girls and boys in the refugee camp and recovered the results of our beneficiaries- they worked well in the first school period!
On November 4, 15, 18 and 22and 28 We also did agricultural activities
Facilitate the training and fight against juvenile delinquency
Our refugee camp
We divided the refugee camp into sections and each organization would “adopted” the section that they could take responsibility. By the grace of God, we were able to adopt 2 sections of the refugee camp consisting of about 7,000 men, women + children.
Clean Water
We installed 2 large water tanks so that they could have access to clean water for drinking, cooking, bathing and cleaning.
Pop-up classrooms
We have organized a little school (costing $950) by the grace of God for 78 children in our section and our neighbors section. We are paying the teachers $50 per month + food (there are 4 teachers total, 2 from within our refugee camp that were teachers in their villages before they had to flee from rebel armies).
Reproductive Hygiene
Because of our girl’s sewing class, we were able to sew 15,000 reusable pads for the women and girls at our refugee camp so that they can have access to reproductive health care without having to deal with infections and disease.
Spiritual Self Defense
Grace, Spiritual Self Defense Leader
To help the girl, woman to believe and trust God, to understand that she is made in his image and that she is able to accomplish great things regardless of the environment in which she lives. We talk a little bit about grace, hope, and thanksgiving oh the God of all grace has given us grace.
In our book of the Gospel History, we speak of the grace of this
Christ is perfect and we must be like him “well done my faithful servant” The grace locates us even in the midst of pain, when we are lost the shepherd of grace has looked for us and brings us back every day to the sheepfold.
Music Lessons
Because of the children’s busy school schedules, they learn about music bi-weekly.
Physical Self Defense
The woman to develop physical abilities while being able to defend herself in case of danger, so we work on:
Affirmations: Boundary setting exercise
Proactive: is putting yourself in safe situations and around safe people and taking yourself out of unsafe situations and out of relationship with unsafe people.
Intellectual Self Defense
Graceful Warrior aims to help the woman to know that she is special made in the image of God and that she is able to accomplish great things!
We have paid for Grace to take english lessons as she has become an incredible and reliable leader. Grace has been with us for years, and we have watched her grow, to take on leadership roles without asking for anything in return. She has been steadfast and reliable and we have asked if she would honor us by accepting an official leadership role in GWP Congo. She blessed us with a YES and we have decided to send her to English classes so that she can engage with our partners on a deeper level. She just defended her first level of English and has now passed onto the second level- Go Grace! We are so proud of you!
