Prayer Chain
“Father God, we adore you for who you are in our lives, for the changes you are using us to make in many lives. Thank you for what you already bless us with, thank you for letting us know that we have to trust you in any situation. That’s why we come in front of you with that business idea and ask you to let it come true if it’s in your plan for us. Also, we trust you for that gas problem that’s really persistent in our country and keeps many young from working, many people from using their car or motorcycle because they can’t find gas and finally we ask you to bless every leader with your intelligence, your compassion, your love for being human so that they can be better in the work they are doing in the Graceful Warrior Project. 1. A business we would like to do with GWP Haiti
2. Gas problem in the country
3. For the leaders around the world to become better every day
*Please pray for the 17 missionaries and their families who were recently kidnapped by a gang in Haiti. The FBI, State Department and other U.S. and Haitian agencies are working to secure their safe release.
*Please also pray for the protests occurring in the streets of Haiti. One of our GWP girls stated that the streets are barricaded, the country is locked down, they are not allowed to go to school or work. She stated, “sometimes they throw stones and there are gunshots.” They are “[protesting] insecurity, the gas problem, the life that’s so expensive here, electricity.”
Spiritual Self Defense
We continue to learn songs and verses that can encourage them to love having success and let them know that they can realize every goal they set for their lives. They are maybe young, they need to enjoy their lives, but never forget to put God first and make sure that every action will please God.
They asked to have a business group so we are thinking about everything to see if that business can be done before the end of this year.
Physical Self Defense
We are in course one in GWP Self Defense, we are practicing fight stance and technical stand up. They are more interested in learning the movements because they realize the importance of defending themselves in bad situations and they will be able to defend their love ones in the future and also teach them how to do the same in case they are not present when they get attacked.
Economic Self Defense
Our taxi driver worked only 3 weeks because of the gas problem we are confronted with presently in the country and also we had to take it to the garage to make some reparations that normally a motorcycle would require.
We are teaching our girls crochet so soon they will be able to make bags and other stuffs and sell them to earn money.
This month I saved “2700 gdes for School and 2700 gdes for my GWP Group.”
Intellectual Self Defense
For now we are not going to school but hopefully next year with the money we are earning in the business we will be able to go and learn what we want. Our girls just started the school year and they promise to give the best of themselves.
Project
We have a project about a business for the group but we want to get more information before talking about it. Also we will continue to teach them how to make stuff with crochet thread and hopefully that will become a business for them and they will make money with it.
